Phu Giao district’s Farmers Association last year continued promoting the emulation movement of “good farmer in production and business” among farmers. The association organized 65 propaganda shows on the campaign, thereby absorbing 9,844 out of 10,275 members with registration for the campaign or 95.8% of total.

As a result, there were 6,644 farming households winning the title of “good farmer in production and business” or 67.5% of total. Among them, 60 won the title of “good farmer in production and business” at central level, 644 at provincial level, 1,309 at district level and 4,631 at communal level.

In 2014, the district’s Farmers Association will strive to get 65% of members registering for the emulation campaign of “good farmer in production and business” while further mobilizing and creating favorable conditions for well-off households to help poor ones rise up out of poverty…
