Phu Loi ward’s farmers good at business

In response to the movement of farmers involve in good production and business, Thu Dau Mot town-based Phu Loi ward’s farmers have united and helped together to build effective economic models.

Phan Minh Hoa’s orchid growing model in Huynh Van Luy road is one of typical examples. Thanks to knowledge on orchid, he has reached an income of VND55-60mil after 3 years of planting orchid. This year he decides to expand his orchid area with over 3,000 dendrobium trees.

A similar model of Nguyen Thanh Long, 56, in Phu Loi ward has also showed a fair income. Thanks to his ambition, he has reached successes in growing apricot trees. At present, Long has over 150 apricot pots, each worth VND800,000-1mil. On average, he reaps VND70-80mil per year.

Doan Thi Gop, chairwoman of the ward farmer society, said the effective models should be expanded to improve income for local farmers.
