Phu Tan flexible in development

Established in 2010, Phu Tan ward in TMD town has so far made changes with the image of a crowded urban area in the near future.

Overcoming obstacles

On August 11, 2009, Phu Tan and Hoa Phu were officially recognized as two new wards of TDM town in the Binh Duong industrial-service and urban complex under the Resolution No.36.NQ-CP.

The announcement ceremony of Phu Tan ward with a total area of 1,539.6hectares separated from many different localities, including Tan Uyen district’s Phu Chanh, Tan Vinh Hiep and TDM town’s Phu My and Phu Loi was also organized on Jan.1, 2010.

 The urban face of Phu Tan ward will see great progress in the near future  Thanks to the attention and instruction of TDM town’s leaders and the Management Board of the Binh Duong industrial-servie-urban complex, Phu Tan ward has managed to overcome difficulties in the initial development period.

Phu Tan has so far seen considerable increase in the number of houses, in addition to three resettlement estates with thousands of people.

Also thanks to job creation and shift to economic structure towards industry, trade and services implemented well, Phu Tan ward have initially overcome obstacles, contributing to helping the local people stabilize their lives.

Flexibility of a new land

Phu Tan ward is now home to three new industrial parks, including Kim Huy, Dai Dang and Song Than 3. They have so far absorbed 72 companies with a total investment capital of US$173.83mln and nearly VND1.153trillion, which is seen as a lever for the local socio-economic development.

Industrial manufacture is considered as a spearheading industry for the ward’s economic development, helping the ward reach a total revenue of VND12.5bln in 2011 or 131% of the projection.

Also thanks to industrial development, the ward has so far lured more than 5,000 workers, contributing to promoting many types of services. As of Q2 2012, the whole ward had 173 business households with a total revenue of around VND3.7bln.

It is expected that till 2020, the ward-based three industrial parks will be fully covered by hundreds of companies with thousands of workers…
