“Pink vacation” campaign for young workers

“Pink vacation” is one of summer youth volunteer campaigns for young workers. Under the campaign, young workers receive care and have a chance to take part in volunteer activities for the sake of the community.

Volunteering for the community

The “Pink vacation” campaign is annually held by provincial Support Center for Young workers with environmental protection activities. With such content, clubs “connecting young workers” in the My Phuoc Industrial Parks 1, 2, 3 and VSIP 2 over the past time organized 4 volunteer programs for the community in the “Pink vacation” campaign. Particularly, more than 1,000 young workers took part in disseminating environmental protection, cleaning up NA& and DA& streets in the My Phuoc Industrial Park 3, planting green trees at Ngoi Sao Nho (Litter start) preschool. They also swept lodging facilities crowded with workers…

Volunteer activities for the community in the “Pink vacation” campaign received enthusiastic response from young workers with high efficiency. On Sundays, the center also held delegations to visit and offer gifts to young workers with difficult circumstances, poor patients, orphans and took part in the Journey “connecting young workers”…

Under the “Pink campaign” 2019, the center has just organized “Green Sunday” and “Pink vacation” programs with enthusiastic response from young workers. They got involved in cleaning up and planting green trees on NA7 street in the My Phuoc Industrial Park 3; tidied up lodging facilities, eradicated illegal advertising boards and offered 10 wastebaskets to proprietors in the My Phuoc Industrial Park 3. Along with this, the center will cook and provide 150-200 free meals for disadvantaged people under the “Connecting love” kitchen program…

Giving care for young workers

Do Van Phung, Director of provincial Support Center for Young Workers said that in order to further carry out activities of the “Pink vacation” campaign 2019, the center will visit and donate gifts to young workers with difficult circumstances; organize a journey “connecting young workers” to “red” addresses in association with making social activities in poor areas in and out of the province.

In response to the “Pink vacation” campaign, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have also concentrated on taking care of young workers. TDM city’s Youth Union has organized many support programs on legal consultancy, reproductive health, nutrition… for young workers…

Whilst, Di An town’s Youth Union has set a plan to implement the “Pink vacation” campaign 2019. Accordingly, the Youth Union and its branches will organize a journey connecting young workers, a “pink semester” program…, aiming to create useful playgrounds for children and make law dissemination at lodging facilities. They will also offer help to young workers with difficult circumstances; mobilize proprietors and donors to build “dream” rooms, set up model lodging facilities to improve the lives of workers living away from home.

Possibly speaking, this year’s “Pink Vacation” campaign is not only a significant activity for young workers, but also helps affirm the volunteer spirit of the local youths. In addition, activities of the campaign will help young workers experience a life with enrichment after working hours at factories and firms, thereby getting more mature.
