Supporting young workers
One of the “Pink vacation” campaign’s main activities is the social welfare work for young workers at industrial parks and compounds and people facing difficulties, due to Covid-19 pandemic. Accordingly, the campaign is concretized by many significant programs, including giving health consultancy, organizing “Zero dong” booths, opening a “Pink semester” program for the offspring of young workers, making law dissemination, mobilizing proprietors, donors to offer “dream” rooms to needy workers, setting up youth model lodging facilities, organizing entertainment activities…
It is known that provincial Support Center for Young Workers is one of units leading the “Pink vacation” campaign. The center has followed hard the content of the “Pink vacation” campaign right from the beginning of the summer youth volunteer campaign. Accordingly, the center organized a festival for the families of young workers belonging to 25 clubs “connecting young workers”. At the event, young workers had a chance to take part in a talk show on skills to build up happy families; animatedly participated in folk games and cooked together.
The center also organized a training course on skills to unite and gather young workers while setting up the club “connecting young workers” No.25; worked with the Youth Unions of Tan Dinh and Chanh Phu Hoa in Ben Cat town to organize many support activities for young workers. Particularly, the center disseminated drug-related crime’s tricks among young workers; organized consultancy on reproductive health, marriage-family and gender equality for them; held folk games, art performance exchanges and “rice ATM” programs in order to share difficulties with them…
Volunteer young workers
The “Pink vacation” campaign has also contributed to upholding the voluntary spirit of young workers. Particularly, the “Beloved kitchen” model has absorbed the participation of members of the clubs “connecting young workers”. They regularly offer 250 free meals to laborers with difficult circumstances in Ben Cat town’s My Phuoc ward at weekends.
According to leaders of the center, under the “Pink vacation” campaign, the center will launch a “Green Sunday” program among members of the clubs “connecting young workers”. The center will also organize “Journey connecting young workers” programs, carry out social activities and visit red addresses to promote education about historical traditions, patriotism, voluntary spirit among young workers in the new period…
