Digital literacy

Binh Duong youth participate in 15 peak days of implementing the movement "Digital Education for All" associated with the tasks of youth teams and groups participating in community digital transformation. Accordingly, 100% of Youth Unions and Federations in the province will establish a "Digital Education for the People" team; organize propaganda activities in close coordination with activities of youth volunteer teams and groups participating in community digital transformation and training digital transformation for students and union members.

With the simultaneous deployment of Youth Union organizations at all levels, the "Digital Literacy for All" movement aims to support at least 5,000 people in the province to improve their digital skills by 2025. Each Youth Union branch organizes a campaign to focus on guiding people to practice 5 basic digital skills, such as: Use online public services, shop online safely, make fast and convenient online payments; protect yourself in cyberspace; use local-specific digital platforms.

Ms. Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Secretary of Provincial Youth Union, said that to implement the movement "Digital Literacy for All", Provincial Youth Union will coordinate with VNPT Binh Duong to organize a series of journeys, "Improving digital capacity for youth". The training program will be organized from the provincial to the commune and ward levels to improve digital transformation skills for youth union members and people. In addition, each commune and ward will organize at least one intensive training class for young people in 2025.

To play the core role

The "Digital Literacy for All" movement aims to highlight the crucial role that young people play in digital transformation efforts. It will encourage the enhancement of digital skills and the ability to effectively use digital devices among the population; the movement seeks to implement the policy of "putting people at the center" of digital transformation. As a result, individuals will recognize the value and benefits of digital transformation and will be motivated to actively participate in it.

Last week, in response to the launch of 15-day peak period of the "Digital Literacy for All" movement, Youth Union at all levels organized and mobilized young people to actively participate in volunteer activities and respond to the movement through specific actions. In Thai Hoa Ward (Tan Uyen City), the Ward Youth Union coordinated with Youth Union of the City Land Registration Office and Youth Union of the City Committee to carry out youth project "Roads and markets with cashless payments" - giving 25 QR payment codes to business households in Phuoc An market. Equipping QR code helps people form the habit of limiting the use of cash when paying, receiving and accessing the benefits of digital transformation services.

Besides, Youth Union units also organized support for their members in assisting individuals with administrative procedures at one-stop departments. This includes guiding people in registering for online public service accounts and using utilities available on the National Public Service Portal. Additionally, Youth Union members engage in promoting and instructing the public on various topics, such as electronic payment methods, Binh Duong Digital application, and self-protection skills in the digital environment; provide guidance on how to register for participation in e-commerce platforms., open electronic payment accounts, digital signature accounts, etc.

These activities helped residents access and use technology to enhance labor productivity, creating a community that adapts to digital transformation and participates in building a digital government, digital society, digital economy, and digital citizens; at the same time, affirming the pioneering, proactive, and creative role of Youth Union members and all levels of Youth Union - Federation in the province during the country’s digital age.

The 15-day program will launch the "Digital Literacy for All" movement, engaging youth volunteer groups in digital transformation. It aims to execute Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, focusing on advancements in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

Youth Union and Youth Federation are engaged in specific tasks and organizing promotional activities to raise awareness among the general public, union members, and young people about this movement. This initiative is one of the key activities for Youth Month 2025, highlighting the pioneering spirit and volunteerism of the youth in Binh Duong as they assist people in accessing and applying digital technology in their lives.
