The trade unions in Binh Duong regularly give gifts to workers in difficult circumstances
Chairwoman Nguyen Kim Loan of the Provincial Trade Union said that in order to retain workers, the Binh Duong Trade Union and many businesses in the province have effectively implemented welfare policies to take care of the material and spiritual lives of workers. Specifically, in the 9 months of 2024, the trade unions at all levels have taken good care of the workers with tasks such as: The provincial labor federation proposed the provincial People's Committee to support 44,400 gifts with a total amount of 44.4 billion VND to visit and give gifts to workers in difficult circumstances. Through socialization, the trade unions at all levels take care of their members and workers with a total amount of over 302 billion VND, more than 50,000 members and workers enjoy shopping at the "Trade Union Tet Market" with an amount of over 10 billion VND.
During the Lunar New Year 2024, labor unions at all levels mobilized 27 billion VND to buy train, bus, and plane tickets to bring workers back to their hometowns for the holiday; coordinated with the Red Cross to organize various activities to take care of disadvantaged workers and organize zero-VNDmarkets. In the Month of Workers, the Labor Union of Binh Duong province has distributed 150 gifts to workers with a total value of 150 million VND. The trade unions at all levels directly visited and supported 448 workers who had accidents with a total amount of nearly 1 billion VND. "With good policies and careful care for workers, in general, workers feel secure in their work and always consider Binh Duong as their homeland," Mrs. Loan said.
According to Mrs. Nguyen Kim Loan, in 2024, the provincial Trade Union has directly instructed the Trade Unions at all levels to enhance the work of connecting supply and demand, connecting businesses in need of recruitment with workers through channels with a demand for over 60,000 new workers. The Trade Union has issued a letter informing about the recruitment needs sent to the Labor Federation of all provinces and cities nationwide, coordinating with the labor sector to enhance the organization of direct and online job fairs; advisory activities, job introductions for workers, ensuring the production and business activities of enterprises.
To have a stable workforce, Binh Duong also pays attention to education, vocational training, healthcare, and many other welfare policies for workers, thereby helping them to be attached and consider Binh Duong as their second homeland. The stories of giving hundreds of "Union Homes", organizing zero-dong market activities to support workers, organizing free collective weddings for construction workers to build happy family homes... have become regular activities of all levels of the Binh Duong Trade Union.
