Poverty reduction and attention to privileged people maintained

The provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Huynh Van Nhi steered relevant agencies to excel poverty reduction and attention to privileged people for the 2011-2015 period. He referred this issue at a summing up conference on poverty reduction for the period of 2006-2010 labor, war invalids and social affairs sector’s activities in 2010.

 

Excellent collectives and individuals receive merit certificates.

Reportedly, in the 2006-2010 period, through assistances of health, education and preferential credit for the poor, the local poverty reduction program reached and exceeded the proposed goals. The rate of poor households reduced rapidly. Two out of three districts and communes basically obtained goals of poverty escape. In 2010, the local sector of labor, war invalids and social affairs completed its entrusted tasks. The sector’s key targets including job generation, vocational training, poverty reduction… exceeded the set plans.

Addressing the conference, the vice chairman highly valued the sector’s results and asking that the sector should keep upholding its done results and excel policies for the privileged people…

On the occasion, he granted Labor Order class 3 and merit certificates to excellent collectives and individuals.
