Power supplying sector to well service developmental needs

Update: 10-01-2024 | 14:49:31

In 2023, Binh Duong Power Company (PCBD) maximized all resources in its production, business, financial, and construction activities to achieve planned targets while ensuring sustainable development and stable, safe electricity supply to support the province's economic and social growth.

Binh Duong Power Company is implementing comprehensive digital transformation, making positive contributions to production and business operations.

To ensure safe and uninterrupted power supply

Mr. Le Minh Quoc Viet, Director of PCBD, stated that in 2023, amidst the overall difficulties, including the electricity sector, PCBD, in collaboration with Vietnam Electricity Group, has vigorously implemented cost-saving measures, consistently reducing costs by 10-20%, cutting down on fixed asset repair expenses by 20-30%, enhancing the management of electricity cost reductions, and optimizing the power supply system. From there, ensuring stable and safe electricity supply for production, business, and people's daily lives with high electricity demand, serving well for the socio-economic development of the province.

PCBD has successfully completed the electricity production plan of 15.107 million kWh, ensuring energy loss targets, implementing efficient practices throughout the province, saving over 366 million kWh. They have fulfilled their financial obligations to the State budget and have effectively improved the quality of customer service and business operations. The household electrification rate has reached 99.993%. Currently, there are only 8 households in the area without access to the national power grid, mainly due to their remote locations in protected forests and rubber plantations, far from the electricity network.

PCBD has continued to focus on solutions to accelerate investment progress and complete the electrification of 110kV power grid projects, particularly by closely coordinating and collaborating with relevant departments and local authorities. PCBD has also provided input on the integrated power grid development plan in the Binh Duong province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2050.

In 2023, PCBD will carry out investments in electricity infrastructure upgrades and overload prevention projects. The investment activities will be prioritized, focused, and targeted for maximum efficiency, ensuring the electricity demand for production and daily activities is met while maintaining a balanced allocation of capital resources from the Southern Power Corporation. In addition to implementing various financial balancing solutions, cost savings, and effective cash flow management, PCBD also focuses on investing in-depth in human resource management to meet increasingly high task requirements and contribute to improving labor efficiency and productivity.

Novel investments to constructions

Identify the key task of electricity first to serve the socio-economic development of the province. In the 2024 key task plan, PCBD will continue to focus on solutions to accelerate investment progress and complete the electrification of 110kV power grid projects.

PCBD will continue to implement investments in power infrastructure upgrades and overload prevention projects. Specifically, we will prioritize and focus on efficient solutions to reduce incidents and ensure high effectiveness. Research will be conducted to address issues in the power grid and gradually eliminate hazardous positions, ensuring continuous and secure electricity supply to support the production, business, and daily activities of residents and enterprises in the area," Mr. Le Minh Quoc Viet shared.

In 2024, PCBD sets forth objectives, tasks, and solutions to further enhance the quality of customer service. Emphasizing the application of technology, comprehensive digital transformation in production and business operations is aimed at reducing operating costs and streamlining the process of handling relevant documentation for customers.
