Practical activities held during week for young workers

Provincial Labor Union’s Standing Committee has actively implemented the Month for Workers 2011 in association with the activities of the 4th provincial Week for Young Workers…

 

From labor union…

 

The province has begun the Month for Workers 2011 with a program presenting gifts and TVs to the local lodging-sub unions. Particularly, provincial Labor Union and the “Golden Heart” fund of Lao Dong (Labor) newspaper jointly donated 50 gifts and 5 sets of TV to workers at the local lodging-sub unions, encouraging them to overcome difficulties, try to work and stabilize their lives.

 

In addition to implementing the Month for Workers 2011, provincial Labor Union teamed up with provincial Steering Board of the 4th Week for Young Workers visited and donated gifts worth VND500,000 each to young workers with extremely-hard circumstances.

 

Especially, the workshop on “The real situation of the spiritual and material lives of workers in Binh Duong in the current period; the Proposals of improving workers’ lives in the coming time” expressed the local Labor Union’s attention to laborers, making coherence between them and businesses.

 

Provincial Labor Union also held a mass art performance festival for laborers. This was the chance for laborers to mutually exchange and study, contributing to promoting grassroots art performances and cultural movements.

 

…To trade unions at all levels

 

In implementation of the Month for Workers 2011 and in response to the 4th provincial Week for Young Workers, provincial Trade Unions at all levels got animated with many substantial activities for workers, including get-togethers for workers suffering from traffic accidents, art performances and sports activities, legal consultancy…

 

In response to the 4th provincial Week for Young Workers, the Trade Union of Ben Cat district-based industrial parks also teamed up with the My Phuoc-based Vinatex supermarket donated 100 gifts worth VND100,000 each to needy workers.

 

Meanwhile, Tan Uyen district’s Labor Union actively got involved in many significant activities, including presenting gifts to needy workers, organizing film shows and providing free medicine for workers and people living in the remote areas, holding singing, culinary contests…

 

Nguyen Thien Phuoc, head of provincial Labor Union’s Education and Propaganda Committee said that provincial Labor Unions at all levels organized many practical activities to take care of workers’ spiritual and material lives, contributing to making coherence between them and businesses…
