Manchester United’s 19th trophy has traveled nearly 48,000 miles and been on display in 27 countries around the world including India, Turkey the Republic of Korea, Japan and Vietnam.

At a press conference in the Park Hyatt Hotel, Irwin and McQueen said they are delighted to come to Vietnam for the first time and act as ambassadors to introduce the famous cup to Vietnamese fans.

Irwin said his two most memorable moments in his 12 years as a player for Manchester United happened at Camp Nou stadium when they won the 1991 European Cup Winners Cup and the 1999 UEFA Champions League.

He said he is happy with his communications work for Manchester United and is not thinking of becoming a trainer after Sir Alex Ferguson retires.

McQueen praised Manager Ferguson and said he hopes that the Scotish man will continue to coach the team in the future and win more trophies.

He also said he was surprised to learn that there are 15,000 Red Devils fans in Vietnam.

Both former MU stars said they were all thrilled when Manchester United defeated Fulham 1-0 in the March 26 match to extend their lead over rivals Manchester City to three points, believing that their club will be the champions of the Premier League for the twentieth time this season
