Price-stabilized items warmly received in rural areas

Update: 16-08-2013 | 00:00:00

In response to the campaign of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”, provincial Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) and province-based enterprises have just organized a price stabilization sales program in Phu Giao district’s An Linh commune. This significant program has contributed to stabilizing market prices and ensuring social welfare.

In late July, provincial DoIT in collaboration with Citimart supermarket organized a price stabilization sales program in Phu Giao district’s An Linh commune with essential goods, including rice, noodle, sauces, confectionary, dairy… that were sold at 10% to 15% per cent discount. This was a price stabilization program with many positive interests, contributing to ensuring balance between demand and supply of some essential goods and developing a wide distribution system for Vietnamese goods.

The program also contributed to mobilizing the local people to give priority to using Vietnamese goods. Le Huu Tai, a sales staff of Citimart supermarket said that the supermarket’s booth was opposite to An Linh market, but it still absorbed many customers. Most products at the booth were sold with prices lower than market prices. If being at the same prices, they would be sold with promotion products enclosed to stimulate demand.

Rural region is seen as a market full of potential, but enterprises ignored it over the past time. Hence, market-days of bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas will help rural customers and enterprises to understand more about each other. The faith of rural customers to Vietnamese goods have become higher after getting access to them. Many rural customers have felt very satisfactory to Vietnamese goods, due to their reasonable prices, high quality and upgraded designs.

Nguyen Thi Thao, a resident in An Linh commune’s Phu Bang hamlet said that she has always advocated price stabilization sales programs in remote communes of the province. Commodities under the programs over the past time were very essential with reasonable prices. She also hopes that many such programs will be regularly organized in the coming time.

It is thought that provincial Fatherland Front Committee and many other mass organizations need to uphold their role in the propaganda and mobilization work of the campaign “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” for better results. Initially, the province needs to mobilize enterprises to participate in the price stabilization program; expand distribution systems for Vietnamese goods; make favorable conditions for customers to get access to hi-quality Vietnamese goods with reasonable prices…
