Thu Dau Mot, Song Be, and Binh Duong are the names briliant historical events against the French Colony and US Army. Today, to continue such tradition, Binh Duong province has highlighted achievements in the stage of industrialization and modernization.
An overview on Hoa Phu Ward Commercial Street The former Thu Dau Mot Province, which is now Binh Duong Province, was the craddle of revolutionary movements in the early days of August Revolution upturning rule of the colony and former regime to build up Democratic Republic of Vietnam, opening up a new stage of socialism era.Recalling the days of uprising on August 24, 1945, the interim Party Committee and uprising committee of Thu Dau Mot Province initiated demands to turn down local authorities preparing for the uprising on August 25, 1945 which was a victory thanks to public calls.67 years passed by in Binh Duong Province leaving scars and marks on the land of struggling. The bright historical tradition was the pride of the land and people of Binh Duong Province and worked as a motor to promote a more and more civilized and beautiful locality worthy of sacrifices of ancestors.After liberation and localities rejoined and splitted in 1997, Binh Duong Province has made greater steps in socio-economic development. From a poor province with low starting point, socio-eocnomic status of Binh Duong Province has enhanced dramatically by exploiting economic potentials and favorable conditions. Thus, the year-on-year growth of the province was remarkable at 14.5% averagely.In 2011, total production has increased by 6.5 times higher than in 1997 with average income per capita at VND 36.9 million in 2011 under economic structure of industry (62.2%), services (33.7%), and agriculture (4.1%).Currently, the province has 28 industrial parks and 8 industrial hubs covering nearly 10,000 hectares, 60% of which were occupied. Besides, a complex of industry-service-urban covering 4,196 hectares contributed to investment luring in the stage of industrialization, urbanization, and urbanization.Binh Duong Province has over 13,000 domestic investment projects with total registered capital of VND 91,000 billion and over 2,000 foreign investment projects with registered capital at USD 14.6 billion.In 2011, export revenue reached USD 10.8 billion (or 12% national export revenue). State budget collection reached VND 23,500 billion in 2011 comparing to VND 817 billion in 1997.Binh Duong Province is aiming at being a sustainably developing province in fields of economy and socio-economic targets. Up to date, 80% of communes, wards, and townlets have been standardized in field of education.Binh Duong Province is being built as an modernized and industrialized locality in sustainable manner.
