Prioritizing key development categories to proactively call and attract investors

*Provincial leaders present gifts to policy beneficiary families in North Tan Uyen

On the afternoon of January 20, Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee, held a working session with North Tan Uyen district’s Party Standing Committee to review the results of activities in 2024 and set out plans for 2025.

During the meeting, representative of the district’s People's Committee reported that in 2024, North Tan Uyen district focused on leadership, administration and implementation, achieving and exceeding various targets and tasks related to socio-economic development, national defense and security.

Specifically, the district’s agricultural production value reached VND 2,990 billion, up 2.96% from the previous year, or 99.3% of the People's Council's resolution. The district’s industrial production value reached VND 6,812 billion, up 12.65% from the previous year, or 101.04% of the resolution. The district’s total retail sales revenue of goods and services reached VND 6,393 billion, up 14.84% from the previous year, or 100.74% of the resolution. The province’s total State budget revenue reached nearly VND 2,084 billion, up 37% from the previous year, or 146% of the province’s allocation and the district’s People's Council’s estimate. In 2024, the district granted business registration certificates to 97 enterprises, including 7 FDI ones. To date, the district has had 888 registered enterprises with total investment capital exceeding VND 13,378 billion…

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Minh highly appreciated outstanding results done by North Tan Uyen district. He urged the district to continue upholding its potential and strengths to fulfill key goals and tasks. The district should promptly implement urban development plans for the four selected communes. Based on the Regional Construction Master Plan for North Tan Uyen district to 2040 approved by provincial People's Committee, the district must identify priority development categories and proactively call and attract investors to accelerate the local socio-economic development. Additionally, the district should continue collaborating with provincial departments and agencies to drastically implement major projects in the area, aiming at promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly development on par with other localities in the province.
