Provincial People’s Committee has just issued criteria specifying which production establishments causing environmental pollution need to be removed from residential and urban areas.

 Accordingly, province-based production establishment will be assessed under criteria on planning with the maximum score of 40 and criteria on environment with the maximum score of 60. If they have a total score of 65 and above, they will be forced to remove from residential and urban areas. In case of having a total score from 55 to below 65, they will be encouraged for removal under the province’s support policies.

In the first stage, the list of production establishments causing environmental pollution that must be removed from residential and urban areas will be announced prior to December 31, 2010. The second stage is prior to June 30, 2011.
