Project on "Farmers participating in collecting pesticide packaging waste" upholds efficiency

On October 27, provincial Farmers Association, in collaboration with North Tan Uyen district’s People's Committee, held a ceremony to summarize the Vietnam Farmers Association’s project on building a model of "Farmers participating in collecting pesticide packaging waste” in Hieu Liem commune.

After 4 months of implementing the project, the Farmers Association branch of Hieu Liem commune has propagandized and mobilized members and farmers to regularly clean up their houses and orchards; participated in the movement of making general sanitation for roads and alleys, protecting the green - clean - beautiful environment; organized production and use of pesticides under the "4-right" principle, collecting packages after use and put them in the right places.

As assessed, the implementation of the project has contributed to promoting production and improving the lives of people in North Tan Uyen district in general and in Hieu Liem commune in particular, actively contributing to maintaining and developing the national criteria on building the local new-style rural areas.
