With the determination to well implement the movement of "The whole country joining hands to build new rural areas" in the 2021-2023, in the past 3 years, the Party Committee, authority and people of Bau Bang district have focused on implementing effectively to meet the criteria for building new rural areas. In particular, the district has called for many social resources to invest in building and developing communes in the district to become new rural communes according to the set roadmap.

By being flexible along with effective solutions in implementing the movement of "The whole country joining hands to build new rural areas", Bau Bang district has up to now received a positive response. Active participation of the people in joining forces and unanimously participating in the implementation of building new improved rural communes and improved new rural districts. By the end of 2020, Bau Bang district had all 6 communes meet new rural commune standards, reaching the target of 100%. Among them, 3 communes were recognized by the provincial People's Committee as meeting advanced new rural commune standards, which are Lai Hung, Long Nguyen and Cay Truong II.
From the new rural construction program and the process of attracting investment, in 2021-2023, Bau Bang district's traffic infrastructure received synchronous and modern investment. The irrigation system has been invested in upgrading and dredging to meet production and daily needs, ensuring water sources for local people. The electricity network covers everywhere to meet the production and daily needs of the people with electricity usage at 99.998%.
In addition, in order to meet the needs of people's daily life and commercial activities, Bau Bang district has paid attention to building a market system. Currently, Bau Bang district has 10 markets, including 8 markets in rural areas and 2 markets in urban areas. In addition, in the district there are 4 convenience stores and shops and supermarkets for electronics, phones, motorbikes, electric bicycles. All of these locations have a good supply of diverse and rich products, fully meeting the daily needs of people.
In particular, implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program with many contents, methods, directions and solutions, Bau Bang district has up to this point 7 recognized products of 3 stars. In addition, currently the entire district has 326 livestock and poultry farms (114 poultry farms, 212 cattle farms), 21 aquaculture households with an area of 11.5 hectares and 134 households raising swiftlets. These forms of production not only create a good source of income for people but also create job opportunities for rural workers in the area.
According to statistics, the total budget for implementing the new rural construction program in Bau Bang district in 2021-2023 was nearly VND 2,200 billion, of which, budget capital accountd for 66.7%, credit capital 28%, and enterprise capital 0.6%. In particular, capital mobilized from the community to contribute including donating land, crops, labor accounted for 4.7%.
The achievements showed the consensus and joint efforts to build new rural areas of the Party, authorities and people in Bang Bang district and the active role of the people in building new rural areas which has been gradually promoted and enhanced. These factors have contributed to determining the district's new rural construction results, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people as well as helping the district exceed its socio-economic development goals in each period.
According to the newly enhanced set of rural commune criteria for 2021-2025, in addition to the previous 19 criteria, 32 additional indicators have been added. Many criteria need to be improved, and the conditions for consideration are harder and more demanding, which is also the reason why some communes in Bau Bang district still have some criteria and targets lower than as required and need to be improved, specifically, Hung Hoa and Tan Hung communes (16 out of 19), Cay Truong II, Long Nguyen (17 out of 19), Lai Hung and Tru Van Tho (18 out of 19).
