Promoting digital transformation, improving competitive indexes

Early September 30, Vo Van Minh, Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to hear reports on solutions to improve the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI); digital transformation index (DTI) and human development index (HDI) by departments and sectors at provincial Integrated Administration Center.

In 2021, despite being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, Binh Duong still ranked in the group of provinces with good governance quality with 69.61 points (down 0.55 points), ranked sixth nationwide 63 (down 2 places compared to 2020) and ranked first in the Southeast region. To improve the PCI, the province focused on solutions to improve 5 component indexes: market entry index, fair competition, dynamism of the provincial government, labor training, legal institutions, security and order. Regarding DTI, in 2021, Binh Duong ranked 20th nationwide (up 9 places compared to 2020). Provincial Department of Information and Communications also proposed solutions to improve the local unsatisfactory indexes.

On the basis of analyzing the causes and solutions of the sectors, provincial People's Committee Chairman has directed departments and sectors to continue listening to opinions from the business community, improving administrative procedure reform, speeding up applycation of information technology, digital transformation and building e-government in all fields in order to publicize activities, creating the most favorable conditions for people and businesses; strengthened support for enterprises to train human resources, supported small and medium-sized enterprises...For the field of digital transformation, it is necessary for relevant agencies to identify solutions that need to be overcome immediately at the needs of enterprises on the basis of feedback component indexes stated in the report of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the PCI.
