Promoting the process of bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas
Lunar New Year 2025 is approaching, in addition to stockpiling goods for consumption, functional sectors and retail businesses are also actively bringing Vietnamese goods to people in rural and remote areas in the province.
Quality assurance and price stability
Normally about 3 weeks before Tet, manufacturing and distribution enterprises start to bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas. For areas with a large number of workers, shipments are often organized close to the day when workers start Tet holiday and last 2-3 days.
According to local Department of Industry and Trade, to support businesses in bringing goods to rural areas, especially during holidays, the department annually presides over and coordinates with localities to create favorable conditions in terms of premises to organize sales points to serve people, ensuring security, order, and environmental sanitation at sales points. In addition, the department coordinates with localities and the Management Board of industrial parks to arrange suitable locations for retail businesses to serve workers during Tet.
Mrs. Phan Thi Khanh Duyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said that in order to serve people in rural areas to shop for Tet, retail businesses in the province organize market stabilization sales in combination with the program of bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas. In particular, units participating in market stabilization such as Co.opmart I, II, Co.opfood, Winmart My Phuoc, Di An, Go! BigC supermarkets will conduct at least 1-2 rounds of mobile sales at traditional markets, industrial parks, worker accommodation areas, and rural areas in the province to help people shop for Tet safely, ensuring product quality and reasonable prices. The mobile sales period is at least 1-2 days per sale. It is expected that each Vietnamese goods market session will have at least 20-25 participating businesses with 30-45 booths.
Along with preparing sufficient supply to bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas, the Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate with functional forces to organize market inspection and control, prevent transportation and trade of smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, and trade fraud; implement regulations on price registration, price posting and selling at listed prices for essential goods serving the people before, during and after Tet.
People trust Vietnamese products
In the past, people in rural areas often chose to buy processed goods, paying little attention to the expiry date, origin, and manufacturer's address. Currently, most consumers are aware of the risks of hygiene and health when using goods of unknown origin, floating on the market; tend to choose domestic products, from reputable manufacturers. By bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas, not only does it create two-way interaction between businesses and people in rural areas, but it also helps to strongly change consumers' awareness, contributing to changing consumer behavior towards prioritizing the purchase of Vietnamese goods.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram, Tan Binh town, Bac Tan Uyen district, shared that since the program of bringing Vietnamese goods to the countryside was launched, people here have been very excited, many people come to learn about the products and then buy them for use. Vietnamese goods have very good quality and prices are affordable for people. Mrs. Tran Thi My Ngung, in Dau Tieng district, said that in the past she often shopped for goods at the market near her house or at local agents, not paying much attention to the origin and quality of the goods. Recently, businesses and retailers often organize Tet and spring markets selling Vietnamese goods where she lives, so she has the opportunity to buy goods with guaranteed quality, clear origin, and prices suitable for rural people.
“Tet market is not only an opportunity for people to shop but also an opportunity for people to visit, have fun and be entertained. Therefore, I, like many people, am very excited to support. I hope that supermarkets will organize more sales of Vietnamese goods and have more promotions so that people can shop at the most economical prices during the coming Tet holiday,” Mrs. Tran Thi My Ngung confided.
As one of the units actively participating in the program of bringing Vietnamese goods to the countryside, Mr. Duong Bao Khuong, Deputy Director of Co.opmart Binh Duong Supermarket, said that this Lunar New Year, the supermarket will open 2 price stabilization points of sale in Vinh Tan commune, Tan Uyen city and Tan Binh commune, Bac Tan Uyen district. Therefore, people in rural areas in this area will have favorable conditions to buy essential consumer goods, products for Tet such as cakes, candies, jams, soft drinks, etc. at stable prices. The supermarket also implements promotional and preferential policies to stimulate consumption.
Along with further promoting Vietnamese goods brands to the people, businesses trading and manufacturing goods are continuing to make efforts to enhance their reputation and promote the spirit of sharing with consumers. Thereby stimulating domestic consumption, bringing more Vietnamese goods to rural and remote areas in the province. |
