Promoting the study and emulation of Uncle Ho’s example in a more profound and practical manner

Morning May 16, Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held a conference to summarize 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the 12th Politburo on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" and to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025). 

Attending the conference were Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Huy Ngoc, Head of Department 3 of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; provincial leaders of all periods, members of the Standing Committee, leaders of departments, branches, unions...  

Transform from awareness to action

The summary report presented at the conference indicated that after ten years of implementing Directive 05-CT/TW, there have been significant achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle in the province. This initiative has led to notable changes in awareness and action throughout the entire political system, including Party committees, organizations, cadres, Party members, and citizens from all walks of life. The implementation of Directive 05 has been carried out consistently and synchronously, emphasizing the motto of "putting the people at the center, as the driving force of the innovation process." All policies and strategies must reflect the aspirations and legitimate interests of the people.

Throughout this process, Binh Duong has effectively linked the study and application of Uncle Ho's example to the political tasks of each locality, agency, and unit, as well as to socio-economic development programs, Party building efforts, political system improvement, the construction of civilized urban areas, and the promotion of new cultural practices in residential communities. Particularly, the annual topics for learning have been specified, contributing depth and practicality to the implementation—especially the topics for 2024 and 2025, which focus on "Applying Ho Chi Minh's thought in building and implementing resolutions to align the Party's will with the people's will," and have received high praise from the Central Committee.

Remarkably, the province now boasts more than 300 effective and practical models, including: being close to the people and their needs; morning coffee dialogues with the public; Uncle Ho's cultural space; community efforts to build civilized urban areas; the establishment of "four good" grassroots Party cells and committees; and the "Diary of Following Uncle Ho”… Additionally, there are various administrative reform initiatives and public service culture programs such as single-window service units, initiatives for engaging with workers, adherence to standard regulations for police officers when interacting with the public, and fostering a friendly government that serves the people. These models have significantly contributed to raising awareness about serving the public and building a cadre of officials who are approachable, understand, respect, and rely on the people to fulfill their responsibilities.

During the conference, numerous individuals and units shared valuable experiences that enhanced the content and practical effectiveness of studying and adhering to Uncle Ho's teachings. For example, a representative from the Party Cell of Chu Van An Junior High School in Thu Dau Mot City presented effective solutions for promoting the learning and application of Uncle Ho's teachings in schools. The Provincial Youth Union also contributed through practical initiatives aimed at educating union members and young people via creative movements, competitions, and volunteer activities.

Continue to promote learning and following Uncle Ho

During the conference, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and praised the efforts of the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and citizens from all walks of life who have diligently implemented Directive 05. Their commitment has significantly contributed to the comprehensive development achievements of Binh Duong province. Mr. Minh emphasized that studying and following the teachings of Uncle Ho is not just an essential political task but has become a fundamental necessity that deeply influences the actions, lifestyles, thinking, and working methods of every cadre, party member, and citizen.

Since 2015, despite facing numerous challenges, particularly the severe impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Binh Duong has maintained an impressive growth rate. The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) from 2015 to 2020 increased at an average rate of 13.3% per year, and for the period from 2020 to 2025, it is estimated to be around 6.5% per year. The current economic scale exceeds 520 trillion VND, with the GRDP per capita projected to reach 195 million VND by the end of 2025. These figures reflect the positive impact of studying and following Uncle Ho on socio-economic development and the strengthening of public trust in the Party and government.

Looking ahead, Mr. Vo Van Minh urged the Provincial Party Committee to continue implementing four key priorities in a serious and synchronized manner. These include effectively executing Directive 05 and Conclusion 01 alongside Resolution No. 4 from the Central Committee (term XII) and Conclusion No. 21 (term XIII) on Party building and rectification. It is crucial to successfully complete the assigned political tasks while enhancing propaganda, education, and the dissemination of exemplary models through various creative forms that resonate with everyday life.

Additionally, Mr. Vo Van Minh emphasized the need to maintain the teaching of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style in a more practical and effective manner within schools. There should be a strong focus on educating the younger generation about morality, lifestyle, and soft skills. Building ethical standards associated with Ho Chi Minh's ideology tailored to specific fields and subjects is also essential. Furthermore, studying and following Uncle Ho should be integrated with the implementation of Resolution 33-NQ/TW regarding “Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development.” This effort includes promoting revolutionary ethical standards for cadres and party members in the new era while encouraging the Fatherland Front and mass organizations to lead patriotic movements, particularly initiatives aimed at addressing temporary and dilapidated housing and supporting workers and vulnerable groups.

Mr. Vo Van Minh expressed his confidence that, with a tradition of solidarity, dynamism, and creativity, along with the practical and effective application of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, Binh Duong will continue to progress strongly. This will contribute to the successful implementation of the 13th National Party Congress resolution and help build a more civilized, prosperous, beautiful, and caring homeland.
