Proposal to recognizing Phu An commune as meeting cultural model new rural standards in 2023

On April 22, Mai Hung Dung, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting of the Provincial Appraisal Council for recognition of advanced new rural communes and model new rural communes for the period 2021-2025 (referred to as the Council).

Accordingly, the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development - provincial standing agency of the National Target Program for Building New Rural Areas - issued Official Dispatch No. 636/SNN-NN dated March 27, 2024 sent to departments and branches to evaluate and confirm the extent to which Phu An commune, Ben Cat town meets cultural model new rural standards in 2023. Through appraisal, departments and branches have evaluated and confirmed that Phu An commune achieved 19/19 regulatory criteria, meeting advanced rural area criteria for the period 2021-2025. Specifically, the average income per capita in the commune in 2023 reached 88.71 million VND (10% higher than the average income per capita for communes meeting advanced rural area standards in 2023 as prescribed). Regarding smart hamlet regulations, the sample criteria group regulations are cultural groups that all meet.

At the meeting, the council members basically agreed with the appraisal results of the cultural model new rural criteria of Phu An commune; At the same time, asked the Provincial People's Committee to consider recognizing Phu An commune of Ben Cat town as meeting the cultural model rural standards by 2023 as proposed by Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
