Province administers over 5.5 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine to people

The province has started receiving and set up a plan giving people free Covid-19 vaccines since March 18, 2021. As of now, the province has received 119 rounds of Covid-19 vaccines, with a total of more than 5.87 doses of vaccine distributed by the Ministry of Health. Of these vaccines, there were more than 1.62 million doses of Sinopharm's Vero Cell vaccine and the remainder being AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna vaccines.

It is known that the province mobilized all health workers, including those from private health facilities, to participate in vaccination against Covid-19 for people over the past time. In the peak period, the whole province injected 150,000 doses of vaccine per day to people. In addition, the province administered 337,993 doses of Covid-19 vaccine to children aged 12-17.

Up to now, the whole province has injected more than 5.5 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine to people, or 93.7% of the total number of vaccines allocated. Specifically, there have been more than 2.48 million people with their first shots, more than 1.89 million people with their second shots and more than 1.12 million people with their third shots. Currently, the whole province is further organizing the second spring vaccination campaign in 91 communes, wards and towns. It is expected that in this round, the whole province will give additional and booster shots of Covid-19 vaccine to more than 1.8 million people.
