Province collects over 9,000 units of blood

The voluntary blood donation campaign has received much attention from authorities at all levels, mass organizations and people from all strata in the province. Provincial Red Cross Societies at all levels have actively made dissemination of information about voluntary blood donation among locals.

Provincial Red Cross Society has so far maintained 108 voluntary blood donation squads with 3,498 members, 108 reverse ones with 1,178 members; a club for those who have rare blood types with 35 members, 8 clubs for blood donation families with 135 members…

Since early this year, provincial Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation in collaboration with HCM city-based Cho Ray’s Blood Transfusion and Hematology Center has mobilized 11,000 officials, Youth Union members, teachers, students, armed forces and locals to take part in voluntary blood donation with 9,654 units of blood given or 58% of the year’s plan.
