Province excels at controlling over radiation safety

In 2015, provincial Department of Science and Technology (DoST) boosted State management on radiation and nuclear safety; implemented the Directive of the Ministry of Science and Technology on strengthening safety and security in the use of radioactive sources to prevent radiation and nuclear incidents in the province.

Provincial DoST also guided 10 facilities to ask for licenses to use radioactive material and certificates for radiation employees; granted licenses to 33 facilities using radioactive material and certificates for radiation employees to 15 others. In addition, provincial DoST monitored over drills against radiation incidents at 4 units, namely Hoa Sen Corrugated Iron Group, Dai Thien Loc One-Member Co.Ltd. and Perstima Vietnam Co.Ltd.
