Province focuses on solving difficulties and building a strong medical branch

On February 22, Provincial Party Standing Committee held a special meeting with medical branch to sum up tasks in 2023, difficulties and important tasks in 2024 and the following years. Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly delegation; Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; and Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, leaders of Department of Health reported outstanding results in 2023, as well as shortcomings and problems in implementing tasks of medical branch. Leaders of Department of Health also informed about a plan to relocate some medical facilities and the preparations for the opening of the 1,500-bed General Hospital; issues of decentralization in the health sector; activities of exchange, cooperation, training of doctors, medical staff, production of pharmaceuticals and biological products used in medicine. Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi shared the difficulties and obstacles of medical sector in carrying out its tasks over the past time; At the same time, asked leaders of medical branch and related sectors to continue upholding the sense of responsibility and coordinate closely to remove shortcomings, especially in training policies, infrastructure construction, decentralization in the medical sector, bidding, medical equipment procurement...

On occasion of the 69th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctor's Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2024), on behalf of provincial leaders, Loi wished leaders, officers and staff of medical branch good health to continue taking care of people's health on behalf of the Party and State; in 2024, the medical branch would continue to be united and democratic, cultivate medical ethics and expertise to better perform assigned tasks, meet from the Party, government and people’s expectations. On this occasion, the provincial leaders gave flowers and gifts to express gratitude for the contributions of the medical staff to the overall development of the province.

On this occasion, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi presented flowers and gifts to Dr. Vo Thai Trung, Deputy Head of Orthopedics ward of Provincial General Hospital for his outstanding professional contributions in year 2023; gave 500 million VND from socialization sources to Medical Examination and Treatment Fund for poor patients at the Provincial General Hospital. The provincial delegation also visited and gave gifts to patients who are policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged people being treated at the hospital.
