Province focuses on solving public junior colleges, colleges’ difficulties

Update: 17-02-2022 | 12:47:49

On the afternoon of February 16, Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee had a meeting with public junior colleges and colleges across the province. The event was also attended by representatives of relevant departments and sectors in the province.

The whole province is now home to 22 public facilities, accounting for 20.4% of total number of vocational education facilities. Among them, there are 3 colleges and 4 junior ones managed by the locality. These public training facilities have basically performed their assigned functions and tasks, contributing to training, improving the quality of human resources and creating jobs for laborers. However, training work at public vocational schools and institutions has still faced many difficulties that need to be solved, especially those related to schools’financial autonomy mechanism, shortage of vocational teachers, facilities at teaching requirements, limitations in enrollment...

Based on difficulties and recommendations by schools, leaders of provincial People's Committee have noted and considered a number of issues related to training activities in specific fields. Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ha asked for relevant departments and sectors to focus on reviewing and solving difficulties proposed by schools. The investment in facilities is necessary in the near future, so schools must have specific projects to submit them to all-level authorities. Relevant departments and sectors must closely follow and coordinate with schools in enrollment work. In the future, the province will have specific working sessions to solve proposals by each school so that the local training on human resources is better, meeting the local demand for laborers and jobs.
