Province further strengthens tourism promotion activities

In the first months of 2023, tourism activities in the province have shown signs of prosperity, developing in a positive direction. The common achievement is the contribution, support, promotion, and introduction of positive information from the activities done by provincial Tourism Promotion Center.

Bringing tourist information closer to visitors

Nguyen Duc Minh, Director of provincial Tourism Promotion Center said that with its functions and duties, the center has taken advantage of many information channels to bring Binh Duong tourism images and information closer to tourists near and far. “In addition to articles about tourism on the website of the unit, now Binh Duong has a travel app. All information about destinations and services that tourists are interested in are collected by the center. The center has coordinated with the unit to regularly update and supplement them on the app. Just accessing the app, tourists can grasp all information about Binh Duong tourism to plan for exploring Binh Duong conveniently and easily", said Mr.Minh.

Along with information work, tourism promotion has been promoted in the first months of 2023. The highlight was to introduce and promote information at the space of "Binh Duong Spring Tour" in the park of Binh Duong New City on the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2023. Accordingly, provincial Tourism Promotion Center coordinated with service units, production and trading establishments of typical products and traditional craft villages on pottery, lacquer, bamboo and rattan items, wooden clogs, piggy banks...in the province to provide information and pictures for visitors. In addition, the center also provided 2,000 travel publications of all kinds… for visitors on this occasion. Along with that, recreational programs held on this occasion also created a joyful and vibrant cultural space, attracting tens of thousands of visitors to enjoy and take souvenir photos at the center's booth.

The center also participated in promoting Binh Duong tourism images at the display space, introducing products, promoting cultural images, typical culinary tourism of the Southeast regions in Binh Phuoc and at the first Tay Ninh festival on promoting "The art of making vegetarian dishes” 2023. Mr. Minh shared: “The activities done by the center have brought information and images of Binh Duong tourism closer to everyone. Especially, tourists outside the province are more and more interested in Binh Duong tourism...".

Activities promoted

It must be recognized that provincial Tourism Promotion Center has effectively used the tool to convey tourist information through website www.dulichbinhduong.org.vn, providing visitors with information about Binh Duong tourism quickly and conveniently. Compared to previous years, this year's activity is promoted more. The center has also tapped the strength of the website to connect, link and share information with tourism agencies nationwide. In addition, the center has coordinated with the Culture - Information Divisions of districts, towns and cities to provide and develop a database on the Binh Duong tourism App, thereby creating favorable conditions for the local travel units to participate in promoting their images, expanding linkages with partners to form up new tours at tourists' needs.

With the efforts by officials and employees from provincial Tourism Promotion Center, tourism promotion in the province has been strengthened, replicated and received the attention and coordination from districts, towns and cities in the province, especially the support from the local travel units in recent years. According to Mr.Minh, tourism promotion is one of the unit’s key tasks. Therefore, this work will be further promoted by the center in the coming time, aiming to promote the local tourism sector. Provincial Tourism Promotion Center is coordinating with media units to implement a program on the local tourism; cooperating with Binh Duong Lottery One-Member Ltd.Co. to print and promote the local tourism on lottery tickets. In addition, the center will participate in promoting and providing Binh Duong tourism information at tourism events organized by other provinces and cities to bring the local tourism information closer to visitors.

“The effectiveness from tourism promotion activities implemented and coordinated by the center over the past time has brought positive signals. That is shown by the number of tourists to Binh Duong increasing significantly, especially in the first months of 2023. Tourism promotion acts as a lever for tourism development. Provincial Tourism Promotion Center will further make more efforts to carry out more activities to bring information and images of Binh Duong tourism to more people and tourists in the coming time," said Mr. Minh.
