Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development yesterday held a workshop on the province’s production and development orientations for urban agriculture and hi-tech agriculture, in attendance of 120 delegates from units, firms and farmsteads across the province.
According to participating delegates, Binh Duong has a lot of advantages for the development of urban agriculture and hi-tech agriculture. Binh Duong has so far had 171 hectares for urban agriculture and 354 hectares for hi-tech agriculture; 43 households and companies getting involved in the hi-tech based pig-breeding model; 433 households breeding pigs under the urban agricultural model. The province has built 4 hi-tech agricultural parks with 991.4 hectares in total in Phu Giao and Tan Uyen districts. Among them, some have been put into operation.
