Chairman of provincial People’s Committee Le Thanh Cung, on March 23, presided over a conference to sum up the province’s basic construction activities in 2010 and implement tasks for 2011.

 Last year, more than VND3trillion was disbursed for the local basic construction or 99.6% of the projection. Of the total figure, more than VND1trillion was managed by the province and more than VND1.9trillion by the districts and town.

 Addressing the conference, Mr.Cung said that the decentralized investment made positive changes for the local basic construction. Hence, this task needs to be further implemented in 2011 and in the following years.

 He also instructed relevant agencies to cut down 10% of public investment in basic construction projects, except for urgent ones, especially in terms of traffic, education and health.
