Province is home to 29 communes meeting advanced new-style rural standards

 *Average income per capita in rural region reaches VND 76.2 million

Early October 6, provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD) organized a conference to preliminarily summarize the three-year implementation of the New-Style Rural Construction Program for the period of 2021-2025 at provincial Political School.

The event was attended by Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

The new-style rural area construction program has changed the province's rural appearance with socio-economic technical infrastructure, electricity, road, school and station systems, material facilities, cultural institutions, irrigation works... invested in a fundamental and synchronous way. The average income per capita in rural areas by the end of 2022 reached VND 76.2 million per person per year. Up to now, the whole province has had all 41 communes meeting new-style rural standards, or 100% of total; 29 out of 41 communes meeting advanced new-style rural standards, or of 70.73%; 3 out of 6 district-level units  meeting new-style rural standards, completing this task. The whole province has had 103 OCOP products achieving standards from 3 stars to 4 stars, including 10 4-star products and 93 3-star ones.

Addressing the conference, Mr.Dung requested provincial MoARD, all-level Party committees, authorities and mass organizations to further organize and effectively implement the goals and tasks of building new-style rural areas until 2025 and the period after 2025; further promote propaganda and unify officials and people’s awareness of the goals and tasks of building advanced and model new-style rural areas and smart villages in the province; develop organic agriculture, ecological agriculture in association with tourism development, set up production - processing and consumption chains; pay attention to well implementing the OCOP program...

On this occasion, provincial People's Committee awarded the emulation flags and the certificates of merit to many groups and individuals who have made outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of "The whole province joining hands to build new-style rural areas" for the period of 2021-2025.
