Province issues a plan to develop rural occupations and preserve traditional occupations and craft villages

Provincial People's Committee has issued Plan No. 7477/KH-UBND on developing rural occupations and preserving and developing traditional occupations and traditional craft villages in the province by 2030. Namely, the key tasks and solutions of the plan are: Developing the agricultural, forestry and fishery processing and preservation industry group associated with building production and consumption chains to increase product value.

Tasks and solutions focus on key products: rubber processing; cashew nuts; livestock and poultry slaughter; fruit and vegetable processing; OCOP products - processed product group. Maintain the activities of carving, sculpture, clog making and handicraft production in Thuan An City and Thu Dau Mot City; create new product designs suitable for the tastes of domestic consumers and for export; develop production towards making gifts and souvenirs for tourists. Improve the capacity of processing facilities to create new types of raw materials, suitable for the development trend of rural industries; especially the production of recycled, environmentally friendly raw materials and replacement of imported raw materials.

At the same time, guide and advise local vocational establishments to proactively and actively cooperate and participate in establishing cooperatives and cooperative groups to promote the development of legal entity organizations. From there, improve the quality and efficiency in production organization, trade promotion, brand promotion, and consumption of products of traditional occupations and traditional craft villages.
