After 2 months of implementing the Government’s Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP, the number of Covid-19 infections in the province, especially community cases has decreased significantly. As of now, most of the outbreaks appearing in the community, especially in areas where social distancing is implemented and strengthened have been controlled. However, there are still Covid-19 cases in the community with unknown sources of infection, bringing about the risk of the resurgence of the pandemic at any time.

At the conference, the units presented some anti-epidemic experience through speeches with focus on proactively identifying and evaluating the situation of the pandemic, upholding the advisory role of functional agencies; making decentralization in the implementation of anti-pandemic tasks; preparing resources, offering timely support to people; setting up a testing strategy with focus, ensuring fast and effective testing; speeding up testing, "separating" F0 cases from the community; attaching special importance to building grassroots medical resources, ensuring adequate supply of drugs and medical equipment; strengthening vaccine coverage and flexibly organizing mobile and home injection forms...

Emphasizing the element of Covid-19 prevention and control in the “new normal" context, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu, Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital has suggested the province to remove the concept of F1, F2, F3 so as not to discriminate against people infected with Covid-19. Especially, grassroots medical units need to classify F0 cases for early treatment and encourage people to make medical declarations when detecting suspected infection. Localities need to consolidate mobile medical stations with small, and effective features, and information technology application to be ready to meet the requirements of the pandemic situation in the new period.

Ready to cope with new outbreaks

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Minh acknowledged contributions by the Party Committee, government and people to the local fight against Covid-19. He deeply shared with difficulties that locals had to endure during the last pandemic period while paying tribute to officials, soldiers, frontline forces in the local fight against the pandemic…

In the coming time, Covid-19 pandemic is predicted to be still complicated and unpredictable, with the possibility of new outbreaks with new variants. In order to prevent and control Covid-19 pandemic in the new period, Mr.Minh has requested all-level authorities, sectors and localities to strictly implement the instructions of the Government in line with the local real situation under to the principle of "Safe, flexible, adaptation and effective control of the Covid-19 pandemic" to bring people's life back to the "new normal" state, recover and develop production-business activities. Accordingly, the whole province has stepped up the implementation of 7 key solutions, in which the health system is the pillar, and the health center is the key in pandemic prevention and control.

Provincial People's Committee Chairman noted that the pandemic situation in the coming period will still have many complicated and unpredictable developments, with the possibility of new outbreaks with new variants. The local health system needs to proactively set up scenarios against the pandemic; strengthen the capacity of collection, treatment for Covid-19 patients, organize training, improve the capacity of tracing, testing, medical isolation and treatment. Specially, the local health sector needs to synchronously implement specific measures to reduce the number of deaths from Covid-19...

The sector needs to reactivate remote support centers, build a medical monitoring system. Each district-level unit researches and invests in building at least one Covid-19 treatment facility under the 3-storey tower model. Traditional and mobile medical stations must have beds, proactively ensure all kinds of medical supplies... and other necessary conditions to cope with the pandemic, achieving high efficiency in treatment.

Provincial People's Committee Chairman believed that despite facing new challenges, Binh Duong will continue maintaining its achievements in Covid-19 prevention and control in the new context, ensuring safety for people’s health, gradually recovering the local economy, stabilizing people’s life in the "new normal" state, contributing to well fulfilling the "dual goal" in the next period.

At the conference, leaders of provincial Party Committee and People's Committee awarded the third-class Labor Medals from the State President to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu, Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital; Nguyen Hoang Vu, Deputy General Director of Becamex IDC; awarded the certificates of merit from the Prime Minister to 6 individuals and the certificates of merit from provincial People's Committee to 96 collectives and 11 individuals for their excellent achievements in the local fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
