Province plans to visit and offer gifts to the elderly on traditional Vietnamese elderly’s day

Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has planned to visit and offer gifts to the local elderly people on the occasion of the 78^th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnamese elderly (June 6, 1941-June 6, 2019).

As planned, provincial leaders will organize delegations to visit and present gifts to 21 centenarian people on June 4. Each elderly person will be given the State President’s greeting card plus a gift worth VND2.53million. For the elderly aged at 90 and 95, they will be presented gifts and cash worth VND1million per person. Gifts worth VND700,000 and VND500,000 each will be offered to the elderly aged at 80-85 and 70-75, respectively…

The program aims to raise the responsibility of organizations, individuals and the whole society in taking care of the elderly and upholding their role in the community.
