Province prepares price subsidized goods for Tet festive season

According to provincial Department of Industry and Trade, the province’s total expenditure to prepare price subsidized goods for the 2016 Tet (Lunar New Year) festival is estimated at nearly VND540bln.

There is an abundant supply of essential commodities for the forthcoming Tet festival. Accordingly, more than 1,400 tons of beef, more than 40,000 tons of pork, nearly 25,000 tons of poultry meat and 300 million eggs will be supplied for this year’s Tet market. There will also a 10%-12% increase in the amount of price subsidized gasoline.

Apart from selling price subsidized goods at supermarkets, the province will organize 20 trips of Vietnamese goods to rural areas and 60 mobile sales points to serve locals’ demand for Tet shopping.
