Province responds to World Environment Day

In response to this year’s World Environment Day themed “For a city without waste”, Binh Duong province will further maintain environmental protection activities, mobilize all walks of life to raise their awareness of environmental protection and build a civilized, clean and nice city.

 

A meeting in honor of the World Environment Day (May 6) will be grandly held at provincial Stadium with 4,300 participants. Nearly 20 flower-decorated vehicles from sectors, organizations and businesses and 100 bicycles from youths will carry out a parade through the stadium’s grand stand and some roads near the stadium.

 

After the meeting, around 4,200 people will participate in a walk for environment to disseminate the meaning of environmental protection and then will get involved in delivering leaflets, installing wastebaskets in public places, planting green trees…

 

In the launching program, provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment will print and deliver 4,000 leaflets, print 3,500 hats and 3,500 pullovers with environmental protection slogans. Whilst, provincial Youth Union will also print 4,000 such hats and pollowers for propaganda work; present 30 wastebaskets to social organizations. Localities will also held activities to respond to the World Environment Day, aiming to mobilize all people to get involve in environmental protection.
