Province’s agro-forestry-fishery value reaches over VND14.818trillion

Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DoARD) held a conference to review its activities in 2015, define orientations and tasks through 2016. Attending the event was Mai Hung Dung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

Reportedly, the province’s agricultural structure last year gained a positive shift with 62.5% of cultivation, 34.1% of animal husbandry and 3.4% of services. The local average production value over one hectare of farming land reached VND90.2mln while agro-forestry-fishery production value was estimated at more than VND14.818trillion.

In 2016, provincial DoARD will continue implementing a project on “Restructuring the local agricultural sector towards added value increase and sustainable development”  under the action plan of provincial People’s Committee.

Addressing the conference, Mr.Dung suggested provincial DoARD to further improve its quality of projects, ensure safety for agricultural products on the forthcoming Tet (Lunar New New) festival…

On this occasion, provincial DoARD was awarded the emulation banners of the Ministry of Agriculture-Rural Development and provincial People’s Committee for its excellent performance in activities of the sector and patriotism emulation movements of the province.
