Province’s export turnover in Jan.2016 up 18%

The province’s total export turnover in Jan.2016 was estimated at more than US$2.38billion, up 17% compared to the previous month and 18% compared to the corresponding period of last year. Of these, the domestic investment sector reached US$517.4million, up 18.7% while the foreign investment achieved more than US$1.8trillion, up 17.8% against the same period of last year.

Some main export products gained high growth in comparison with the same period of last year. For example, steel grew by 60%; cashew nut by 19.1%; pepper by 16.3%; raw materials for garment-textile and footwear by 15.6%; woodwork by 12.2%; telephones and their components by 14%...

The province’s import value was also estimated at nearly US$2billion, up 2.4% compared to the previous month and up 19% compared to the same period of last year. Noticeably, province-based businesses had positive reactions and strengthened production expansion before new policies and opportunities from free trade agreements that were signed and are going to be signed by Vietnam.
