Province’s export turnover reaches over US$6.5bln

Update: 10-11-2010 | 00:00:00

The province’s export turnover in October secured US$830.3mln, up 3.7% compared to the previous month. The positive result brought the province’s total export turnover over the past 10 years to more than US$6.5bln, up 23.2% against last year’s same period. Of the total figure, the domestic invested sector gained more than US$1.3mln while the foreign invested sector achieved more than US$5.1mln.

Some key export products gained high growth, including electric wire and cable up 33.2%; electronics up 43.2%; rubber latex up 38.3%; toys up 40.3%... But, some others saw reduction in export turnover such as coffer down 8.2%; fine art and handicraft items down 6.4%; bicycles and their components down 8.5%; instant noodle down 1.6%. The reasons for this reduction were that province-based companies had few orders while others with big export turnover have not yet operated at full capacity…
