On September 26, provincial Party Standing Committee’s supervision delegation, led by provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Tran Van Nam, made a supervision tour of the province’s implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction at provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD).

Binh Duong gained many positive results in terms of agriculture, farmers and rural areas after three years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction from 2011 to 2013. But, there were some shortcomings for change in the process of realizing the program.

In the coming time, Binh Duong will strive to have 5 communes recognized as new-style rural ones by the end of 2013; speed up propaganda work; re-check and reassess the local implementation of the central support policies for agricultural and rural development; fully make policies for infrastructure development to promote the local new rural construction program…

According to Mr.Nam, provincial DARD well realized the National Target Program on New Rural Construction over the past years. But, provincial DARD also needs to be more drastic in implementation of the program for better results in the coming time.
