Province’s total social housing floor area reaches around 770,000 square meters

Binh Duong now has more than 1 million laborers and most of them are immigrant. Therefore, the demand for housing in the province is very great.

Under provincial Program on social housing development, from 2011 to 2015, the whole province had 25 social housing projects completed and put into use with a total floor area of nearly 500,000 square meters. Among them, 4 were under the Becamex social housing project with around 7,281 apartments.

There are now also around 200 businesses in industrial parks and compounds building tenement houses with a total floor area of 270,000 square meters. The total social housing floor area of the province is estimated at around 770,000 square meters.

In the period of 2016-2020, Binh Duong will continue constructing social houses for laborers at industrial parks and compounds. Till 2020, it is expected that the province will have additional 1.66million square meters of social houses for workers.
