Province’s trade surplus reaches over US$1.2bln

The province’s export industry in 2001 has still continued getting instability with a total turnover reaching US$10.342bln, a year-on-year increase of 21%.

 

Of the total figure, domestic businesses earned US$2.32mln, up 17.42% compared to last year while foreign businesses achieved US$8.310mln, up 22% against last year.

 

Many export products gained high growth such as rubber up 31.4%, processed food up 34.2%, bicycles and their components up 56.2%, wooden furniture products up 10.7%, garment up 13.1%, footwear up 15.5%...

 

Meanwhile, the province’s import value in 2011 was estimated at US$9.126mln, up 24.7% in comparison to last year. Main import products were still paper, paper powder, milk and milk products, materials for garment, foot wear…

 

It is estimated that the province saw an excess of exports over imports of US$1.216mln. With the result, this is the 3rd consecutive year the province’s excess of exports over imports has reached more than US$1bln and has also become one of the country’s localities with the highest trade surplus.
