Province to have 1,000 hectares of hi-tech based agricultural production

This is one of the province’s important targets in the Project of “Restructuring agricultural production towards increasing added value and sustainable development”.

Binh Duong will also form up urban agricultural areas with around 300 hectares of land for growing vegetables, crops and raising ornamental fish; 1,500 hectares of land for growing special fruit trees till 2015. Besides, the province will promote hi-tech based animal husbandry areas, contributing to increasing the local agricultural sector’s production value. Accordingly, the province’s production value of animal husbandry and cultivation on a hectare of farming land will reach between VND80mln and VND100mln a year. The figure will be between VND150mln and VND200mln for hi-tech based agricultural production.

For the project successfully implemented, the province’s agricultural sector will develop an urban agricultural area in the southern region and a traditional agricultural area in northern districts of the province; boost agricultural promotion, consultancy on agricultural techniques for the loal farmers. The sector will also make policies on financial support for the local farmers, speed up application of sci-tech advancements in agricultural production.
