Province well prepares conditions for Tet

In order to well prepare conditions to serve people to welcome the Tet (lunar New Year) festival 2022 in a healthy, safe and economical way, provincial Party Standing Committee has issued the Directive No.14, requiring the local Party organizations, authorities, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels to strictly implement the Directive No. 11- CT/TW, dated December 8, 2021 of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat on organizing the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2022 while focusing on leading, directing and organizing the implementation of a number of key tasks.

Covid-19 prevention-control and social welfare assurance

The directive of provincial Party Standing Committee requires the local Party organizations, authorities, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels to focus their best efforts on Covid-19 prevention and control, absolutely not being subjective, negligent or losing vigilance; uphold the responsibility of leaders, being ready to cope with all situations, drastically and synchronously directing measures on safe adaptation and effective control of Covid-19; have a specific plan, arrange officials and employees on Tet duty, promptly handle and effectively deal with all arising tasks and situations; minimize mass gatherings to ensure the requirements of Covid-19 prevention and control…

Units and localities promote the nation's tradition of great solidarity, "mutual affection, mutual love", well implementing social welfare policies, taking care of the people's material and spiritual lives; pay attention to caring for policy beneficiary families, people with difficult circumstances, due to Covid-19 pandemic and employees working in industrial parks and compounds; especially taking care of and visiting families with relatives, children whose parents died, due to Covid-19 pandemic... to ensure that every home and everyone can enjoy Tet; pay visits to wounded, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, revolutionary contributors, heroic Vietnamese mothers, public figures, intellectuals, artists, religious dignitaries, armed forces, forces on the front line of the fight against the pandemic, and forces on duty during the Tet holidays, especially in difficult regions, concentrated isolation and treatment areas, complicated areas in terms of political security, social order and safety...

Ensuring food safety, security and order

According to the directive of provincial Party Standing Committee, before, during and after Tet, localities and units need to well perform the management and organization of festivals in accordance with the spirit of the Directive No. 41-CT/TW of the 11th Party Central Committee's Secretariat, regulations and guidelines on Covid-19 prevention and control, ensuring activities in celebration of the spring and Binh Duong's 25 years of development and other important events safely, practically and economically, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere among people from all strata in the province. On the other hand, localities and units must strengthen inspection, prevent and strictly handle violations in organizing cultural activities and festivals during Tet. Local leaders need to carefully consider the organization of firework displays to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Tiger 2022 with thrift and safety ensured.

The directive also requires units, localities not to visit and extend Tet greetings to superiors and leaders at all levels; forbids them from offering gifts to their superiors in any form, participating in superstitious activities and using the State budget, vehicles and public property in contravention of regulations for festive, amusing activities.... It also requires localities and units to strictly comply with the Regulation No. 08-QD/TW dated October 25, 2018  of the 12th  Central Party Committee on the responsibility of setting an example of cadres and Party members and the Regulation No. 37-QD/TW, dated October 25, 2021 of the 13th  Party Central Committee on the things Party members are not allowed to do.

In addition, localities and units must closely inspect and supervise, well ensuring food safety and hygiene, environmental sanitation, Covid-19 prevention and control; strengthen market forecasting and management, stabilizing prices, ensuring the balance between supply and demand of goods and services; promptly detect and strictly handle all acts of commercial fraud, production and trading of fake, poor quality goods, hoarding of goods to push prices for illicit profit; proactively plan to ensure enough means of transporting goods and serving people to travel safely during Tet holiday...

Localities, agencies and units also need to focus on ensuring national defense-security, social order and safety; proactively prevent, prepare plans to prevent and effectively handle complicated situations not to be passive or unexpected; strengthen measures against crimes and social evils; strictly handle violations, especially ones related to Covid-19 prevention and control; ensure absolute safety for the local objectives, key works, political, foreign, cultural - social events; strengthen patrols to ensure traffic order and safety; carry out fire and explosion prevention; strictly comply with regulations on management and use of firecrackers and explosives

Under the Directive No.14 of provincial Party Standing Committee, the Party Committees of districts, towns and cities have promptly issued directives and plans to well organize the required contents. Nguyen Thi My Hang, Secretary of Phu Giao district’s Party Committee said that the district’s Party Committee had issued the Directive No.12 asking for all-level Party organizations, authorities, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to seriously implement the Directive No.11 of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and the Directive No.14 of provincial Party Standing Committee on the organization of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2022. Huynh Thi Thanh Phuong, Secretary of Thuan An city’s Party Committee also said that the city’s Party Committee has directed relevant units and organizations to well implement the contents of provincial Party Committee’s Directive No.14, especially social welfare policies during the Tet holiday. Whilst, Huynh Van Dan, Permanent Vice-Secretary of Dau Tieng district has also signed and promulgated the Directive No.15 on the implementation of the contents of provincial Party Committee's directive on the organization of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2022...
