Provincial Businesswomen Association supports people hit by Wutip in central region

Provincial Businesswomen Association has just organized a get-together to mark Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13) and reviewed its activities in the first nine months of 2013.

The association now has 55 members who are the owners of province-based enterprises. Over the past time, along with production and business activities, they actively got involved in social charity activities, including taking care of policy beneficiary and poor families, children with difficulties…in and out of the province. Since early this year, the association has also built 10 houses of compassion for the poor and awarded nearly 1,000 scholarships, notebooks to poor-but-excellent pupils; funded construction of 3 rural bridges in the Mekong Delta provinces…with a total expense of nearly VND1bln.

At the get-together, the association also launched a campaign of raising funds for people hit by Wutip in the central region. More than VND27mln was subscribed to support the victims of the powerful typhoon.
