Provincial consumer's rights protection association elects Chairman for tenure 2020-2025

On Sep 30th, Provincial consumer's rights protection association held its 4th Congress, tenure 2020-2025, with the participation of 250 delegates. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Trang, Vice Chairwoman of Vietnam consumer's rights protection association, and Nguyen Thanh Toan, Director of Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, and representatives of provincial departments, branches, and business associations were present at the meeting.

Nguyen Thanh Toan awards certificates of merit to individuals and collectives that have outstanding achievements in the last tenure.

During the past tenure, Provincial consumer's rights protection association well promoted its role as a social organization representing consumers, contributing to guaranteeing the legitimate rights and interests of consumers and business organizations. The association has now 17,930 members. 

The association also did a good job of propagating the law on consumer's rights protection and dissemination of consumer knowledge. The consultancy and settlement of consumer's complaints from grassroots level to the Provincial association was carried out promptly and regularly, actively assisted State management agencies in checking and detecting violations of counterfeit goods, low-quality goods; encouraged consumers to support the campaign "Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods", contributing to promoting socio-economic growth in the province.

The Congress elected 13 delegates to the 4th Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 tenure. Nguyen Van Ban was re-elected as Chairman of Provincial consumer's rights protection association tenure 2020-2025.

On this occasion, 9 excellent individuals received certificates of merit awarded by Vietnam consumer's rights protection association; 7 collectives and 9 individuals received certificates of merit awarded by the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in 2015-2020 period.
