Provincial delegation pays working visit to Germany

A delegation of Binh Duong province, led by Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee has just paid a working visit to Germany. Joining the delegation were leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City. Within the framework of the visit, the delegation had a working session with the Technical University of Darmstadt, Hessen State, Germany. Vice-principal of Darmstadt University of Technology in charge of scientific research, and professors in charge of faculties that have cooperation with Vietnam - Germany University (VGU) received the delegation.

Darmstadt is a member of TU9 - the most prestigious group of German universities of technology, a school with good teaching quality and a core training base in the field of engineering in Germany. At the reception, the delegation discussed to cooperate and share this model extensively with universities in Vietnam. Currently, VGU has 3 training programs with Darmstadt University and wishes to cooperate more closely in the future. VGU is a new university model under the model of Technical University of Darmstadt.

*During the working trip, the delegation visited and worked with the Ministry of Economy, Energy, Transport and Housing in the state of Hessen, Germany. Rolf Kramer, from the Department of Foreign Trade, Small and Medium Enterprises, Vocational Training, Technology Innovation under the Ministry of Energy Economy, Transport and Housing, Hessen State, Germany received the delegation. The state of Hessen is the only state that has long-term cooperation with Vietnam in the past 30 years. Particularly, VGU is a symbol of the friendship between Vietnam and the state of Hessen in particular and with Germany in general. The delegation hoped that the two sides will further strengthen cooperation in the fields of education, innovation, science and technology, digital transformation, etc.

*Next, the delegation visited and worked with the European Space Agency in Germany (ESA), an intergovernmental organization established in 1975, in charge of space exploration that Germany pioneered. In the 1990s, with the advanced Ariane-4 rocket booster system, ESA became a pioneer in the field of commercial rocket boosters. ESA currently has 22 member countries with its headquarters in Paris, France.
