Provincial DoNRE accelerates land data digitization

Monday, 24/02/2025

Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DoNRE) is the first unit in the country to successfully connect with the national database on citizens, aiming at reducing paperwork in handling public service procedures related to residency. Since October 28, 2024, the department has received and processed over 2,000 land data requests for residency registration.

To continue the digitization of land data, the department will further develop the land database under the Plan 422/KH-UBND of provincial People's Committee on digital transformation in the natural resources and environment sector by 2025, with a vision toward 2030. The department will also implement a plan for reducing administrative procedures after the land data is digitized, specifically in the fields of residency registration and land management as part of the agreement signed between the Ministry of Public Security and provincial People's Committee.

The department will also upgrade its information technology infrastructure with technical requirements to ensure connectivity, interoperability, data sharing, utilization of natural resources and environmental data based on the principles of efficiency, sustainability, synchronization, safety and cybersecurity. 100% of the natural resources and environment databases will be built, updated and integrated, ensuring connection, interoperability and synchronization with the province's shared database and the national natural resources and environment database. These efforts will support the provision of public services to residents and businesses, contributing to the development of digital governance.

In addition, the department will focus on directing the entire sector to build and implement a digital natural resources and environment platform with modern technological solutions, ensuring information security and safety. This platform will provide essential basic input data for building e-government, digital economy, digital society and smart cities, supporting the leadership and management of the People’s Committees at all levels. The department will also transform working methods, enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of State management, deliver high-quality and rapid public services in natural resources and environment, establish an open natural resources and environment data system, contributing to socio-economic development and ensuring national security and defense.
