Provincial DoST: Acceptance of project producing essential oil from king orange and green skin pomelo by-products

Provincial Department of Science and Technology (DoST) has recently evaluated and accepted a project on "Developing a model for producing essential oil from orange and green skin pomelo by-products in North Tan Uyen district, developing some application products from essential oil".

The project aims at applying techniques and technology in the distillation process of essential oil and the production of health care products from orange and pomelo essential oil, utilizing by-products. To date, the project has successfully transferred and implemented the essential oil distillation technology with 200 kg of raw materials per batch, the essential oil recovery efficiency of ≥ 90%, meeting the TCVN 11423:2016 standards at Dan Tien Cooperative in North Tan Uyen district’s Tan Dinh commune.
