Provincial Forest Management sub-Department strengthens propaganda on wildlife protection

In 2023, provincial Forest Management sub-Department received 9 wild animal carcasses, including sun bears, monkeys, bats, tigers and leopards. Accordingly, the sub-department handed over the above wildlife carcasses to the Vietnam Museum of Nature for the purpose of displaying, researching and storing animal genetic resources. In addition, the sub-department received many calls from the local people for handing over rare forest animals belonging to the group IIB.

In addition to promoting propaganda work, the department effectively implemented measures to prevent and fight criminals violating regulations on wildlife protection, continued implementing  provincial People's Committee’s Directive No. 12/CT -UBND on strengthening management, prohibiting hunting of birds, wide animals and fishing with electric pulses, chemicals, and prohibited fishing gear. The sub-department also made efforts to control and detect all illegal acts of hunting, killing, transporting, trading, and keeping wild animals.
