Provincial health sector celebrates Vietnamese Doctors' Day

On February 27, Provincial Department of Health held a meeting to celebrate the 69th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctor's Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2024). Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu, Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital, Director of the Provincial General Hospital; and leaders of provincial departments, branches, medical staff attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Nguyen Hong Chuong, Director of the Department of Health, said that in recent times the health sector has faced many difficulties and challenges, but the entire sector has united, overcome difficulties, and worked together to fulfill missions. Doctor, People's Physician Huynh Van Nhi, former Director of Provincial Department of Health, also shared his pride in the development of the medical industry and wished that generations of physicians would continue to promote traditions and contribute to making public health care profession better for the people.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Loc Ha acknowledged and praised the great efforts and contributions of the health sector; At the same time, he sent good congratulations to officials, public employees, and workers in the health sector on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Vietnam Doctor's Day. Ha suggested that the provincial health sector continue to improve the health system, synchronize from province to grassroots, consolidate and develop high-quality medical human resources to meet higher daily health care needs of the people.

On this occasion, workers in the health sector contributed 50 million VND to the Fund for the Poor.

At each destination, the leaders of the Provincial Social Insurance sent congratulations, expressed gratitude and acknowledged the great contributions of the health sector, medical staff and doctors in taking care of people's health; coordinate with the Provincial Social Insurance to propose and implement solutions to ensure the best benefits for participants and policy beneficiaries, and remove difficulties for medical facilities to operate, contributing to improving the quality of health care and health protection for people in the province.
